Oshkosh beat out several other Wisconsin cities including Sheboygan, Racine and FonduLac to become home for the Milwaukee Bucks NBA Development or D-League franchise.
A formal announcement will be made Wednesday afternoon as Bucks officials and former players will be on hand for the news conference, a basketball clinic and a celebration party at The Bar.
Oshkosh will build a 3500 seat arena at an estimated cost of 18 million dollars on South Main Street at the former Buckstaff furniture company site.
The Bucks become the 25th NBA team to operate a D-League franchise.
