GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The man who pushed an 84-year-old woman to the ground and stole her purse, getting away with $8, was convicted of robbery with use of force.
Nathan Gay, 30, pleaded no contest to the charge earlier this week. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 13, court records show.
The incident happened June 7, 2019, in Ledgeview.
The victim walking in a grocery store parking lot when he allegedly pushed her to the ground and stole her purse. She said it had $8 inside. An officer recognized Gay from store security footage. After repeated denials, Gay admitted to the robbery, and apologized, the criminal complaint states.
He was also convicted Monday on an unrelated count of drug possession, according to court records.
