KENOSHA, WI (METROSOURCE) — The prosecution in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial has rested its case after over five days of testimony.
The prosecution called 22 witnesses, some of whom seemed to boost the defense’s argument that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense when shooting three men during rioting in Kenosha following the police shooting of Jacob Blake in 2020.
Two of the men died from their wounds.
Rittenhouse, who was 17 years old at the time of the shootings, is expected to take the stand when the defense presents its case.
