TOWN OF NEW DENMARK, WI (WTAQ) – Two people are dead and another person severely injured after a crash in the Town of Denmark.
It happened around 11 p.m. Saturday night on Cooperstown Road.
Officials say two vehicles, an SUV and a car collided after the SUV didn’t stop at a stop sign. The SUV started on fire and burned down to its metal frame.
The driver of the SUV, a 29-year-old man from Green Bay is facing several charges. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
A passenger in that SUV was flown to a hospital.
Both people inside the other vehicle were killed. A 42-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman both from Whitelaw.
