OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The trial for one suspect in a Neenah murder was postponed Monday from next month to Feb. 14.
Terran Colwell is charged with felony murder, along with Mandel Roy, for the April 17 death of Rodger Ridgeway.
Instead of going to trial Nov. 3, Colwell’s new trial date was set Monday, court records show. A three-day trial is planned.
Roy returns to the court Oct. 29. No trial date has been set for him.
According to the criminal complaint, Ridgeway’s mother got into a confrontation with those inside a bar. After he arrived there was another altercation, and Ridgeway was stabbed.
“The evidence obtained by Neenah Police Department investigators shows that Mandel Roy began fighting with (Ridgeway), committing at least a battery, using a blunt weapon. Terran Colwell also became involved in the fight likely stabbing (Ridgeway) with a knife, causing injuries that resulted in (Ridgeway‘s) death. Roy and Caldwell continue to fight with (Ridgeway) even after his apparent attempt to get away, “ Roy‘s criminal complaint states.
