GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — How should the city of Green Bay spend its coronavirus relief money? A new survey asks citizens to share their thoughts.
Leaders say Green Bay is receiving $23.7 million from the American Rescue Plan. The federal government limits the funds’ use to improving low-to-moderate-income census tracts and within certain categories. Those categories are:
- Addressing negative economic impacts
- Helping small businesses and/or hardest-hit industries in low-to-moderate-income census tracts
- Certain infrastructure projects
- Local capital improvements such as storm water management and drinking water safety
Besides the online survey, Mayor Eric Genrich is planning two town hall meetings next month where people can share their input.
