APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — There’s still time for small businesses in Outagamie County to apply for COVID-19 pandemic relief grants.
The county has extended the deadline for its Phase One Rescue Plan Grants to Sept. 30. The previous deadline was Sept. 9.
“While we’ve received applications from a variety of businesses and areas in the county, we want to make sure all have an opportunity to apply,” Outagamie County Board Chair Jeff Nooyen said in a news release. “The County decided to extend the date to be sure that we are reaching all businesses in Outagamie County that may need help as quickly as possible.”
In July, the county’s finance committee approved grants of up to $5,000 for local small businesses that took on additional costs to implement health and safety measures due to the pandemic. The grants are funded through the American Rescue Plan Act.
