OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – An Oshkosh school is moving a single classroom to virtual instruction for one week after that classroom of 20 students had five positive COVID-19 cases.
After having three active cases in one classroom last week, the district recommended that all students in the Lakeside Elementary classroom get tested.
The district provided rapid antigen COVID-19 tests on Sunday at the school, with parental consent. During that testing, two more students tested positive.
The district asked parents to help by making sure their students are properly wearing masks, watching their distance and washing their hands regularly.
If students begin to experience symptoms of COVID-19, families are asked to notify the school immediately.
At this point, no Oshkosh schools other than Lakeside Elementary are closed.
