OCONTO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person was shot in Oconto Friday, leading to the arrests of two people.
Police say around 11:25 a.m., a 911 call was received of a person with a gunshot wound in the 2000 block of Superior Avenue.
Officers responded and learned of two possible suspects. A 35-year-old Oconto man and a 31-year-old Marinette woman were arrested in the area of 2nd Street.
Further investigation found that a third suspect was possibly involved. Authorities conducted a search warrant on 2nd Street but could not find the suspect. Two other search warrants were conducted on Superior Avenue, police say.
The investigation is ongoing.
