OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Oshkosh Area School District board has rescheduled last week’s postponed meeting, and the next meeting won’t be held in person.
The board will meet again tonight at 6 p.m. The meeting will be conducted via Zoom.
Last Wednesday’s meeting ended abruptly when some parents — opposed to the district’s face mask policy — refused to comply with orders to wear a mask. Board members and police asked them to leave, but they refused.
The district sent a letter to families Thursday explaining the situation. In the letter, superintendent Dr. Bryan Davis said the district is “committed to using face coverings as one of (the district’s) key mitigation strategies to keep (the district’s) staff and students safe and learning in-person in (the district’s) schools and classrooms.”
Monday’s meeting can be viewed on the district’s YouTube channel.
