GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Over 40 people in Brown County are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.
Even with increasing case numbers, Brown County Health’s Claire Paprocki says they’re not considering mandating masks in the county.
“Right now there are no plans for mandates or shutdowns,” said Paprocki. “We want to make that very clear.”
They still recommending them, however.
“We are strongly recommending that businesses, organizations and facilities recommend that their employees are staff wear masks,” Paprocki said. “If you are an individual who is choosing to go to a football game or a gathering…you should wear a mask.”
There have been over 37,000 cases of COVID-19 reported in Brown County since the pandemic began. Over half the county is vaccinated.
