GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Shaquille Hamilton was sentenced to ten years in prison for a shooting on Green Bay’s east side in September, 2019.
Hamilton, now 18, was also placed on extended supervision for ten years at the hearing Friday. He was also ordered to perform 1,000 hours of community service during that time, court records show.
A jury previously convicted him of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
According to the criminal complaint, Hamilton fired the shots near St. George and Smith St. The victim, Davon Smith, was shot in the face and chest, and was taken to the hospital by friends.
Hamilton was 16 at the time of the shooting, but in Wisconsin, suspects ages 10 and older in homicide and attempted homicide cases are tried in adult court.
