STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Those with weak immune systems can receive a COVID-19 booster shot next week in Door County.
Door County Medical Center has scheduled two clinics. The first will take place Tuesday from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. and the Fish Creek clinic, and the second will be held Wednesday from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the clinic in Sturgeon Bay.
The extra vaccine dose is currently recommended for immuno-compromised people only. The center will provide the Moderna vaccine at the clinics, while those who received Pfizer’s vaccine are asked to call 1-920-746-2234 to schedule their third shot.
Those participating in the clinics must bring their vaccination card. The inability to do so may result in a delay receiving the vaccine, according to a news release.
Appointments can be made online through the Door County Medical Center Patient Portal. Appointments for the Fish Creek clinic can also be made by calling 1-920-868-3511 and 1-920-746-3700 for the Sturgeon Bay clinic. Appointments for those 12-18 years old should be made by calling 1-920-746-3666.
