FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man was sentenced Tuesday for giving methamphetamine to another man, resulting in his death.
Prosecutors say David S. Bresser was sentenced to eight years in prison and four years of extended supervision for the death of Rebert Thorp in Fond du Lac.
Bresser was also sentenced to three years in prison and three years of extended supervision for an unrelated drug delivery offense.
According to the criminal complaint, Thorp died in April 2020 of “methamphetamine toxicity.” His body was found in a Fond du Lac river.
Bresser admitted to selling the drugs to Thorp, but said it was for a small amount, the complaint states.
The second sentence stems from an incident in August 2020, when Bresser delivered fentanyl in Ripon.
