OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One of the suspects in a Neenah murder pleaded not guilty Thursday.
Terran Colwell is charged with felony murder in connection with the April 17 death of Rodger Ridgeway.
Trial was scheduled for Nov. 15. Colwell returns to court Nov. 11 for a pre-trial conference. Also, the judge reduced Colwell’s cash bond from $500,000 to $300,000, records show.
Mandel Roy also faces a felony murder charge. He has pleaded not guilty but no trial date has been set. He returns to court Sept. 16.
According to the criminal complaint, Roy’s mother got into a confrontation with those inside a bar. After he arrived, there was another altercation, and Ridgeway was stabbed.
“The evidence obtained by Neenah Police Department investigators shows that Mandel Roy began fighting with (Ridgeway), committing at least a battery, using a blunt weapon. Terran Colwell also became involved in the fight, likely stabbing (Ridgeway) with a knife, causing injuries that resulted in (Ridgeway)’s death. Roy and Colwell continued to fight with (Ridgeway) even after his apparent attempts to get away,” Roy’s criminal complaint states.
