PULASKI, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touching down in the Pulaski area on Wednesday.
FOX 11 talked with Pulaski Police Chief Mark Hendzel, who said there wasn’t much structural damage.
Trees and power lines were down in a couple of areas, including the Pulaski Polka Days grounds.
A couple FOX 11 spoke with had a massive tree uprooted in their yard. They were driving as the funnel cloud formed and touched down.
“We could see the formations behind us, and then we stopped at a parking lot at a gas station, and I could just see the formations right above me,” Lakin Williquette said. “I was getting really scared. I was starting to shake so bad. I wanted to leave, but by the time we left, we were coming back here, and we just saw a tornado behind us like touch down really close to home. It was scary.”
The people FOX 11 spoke with all agree that based on what they saw, they feel lucky there wasn’t more damage.
