GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A shooting was reported just a few short minutes away from where the Green Bay Packers were holding Family Night festivities on Saturday.
It started with a call just after 6 p.m.
Sgt. Schroeder with the Green Bay Police Department tells FOX 11 that officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 100 block of S Oakland.
Witnesses say two vehicles pulled up,” began Schroeder. “One vehicle fired at the other and they both fled the scene.”
He adds officer recovered about six shell casings in the street.
As for whether or not the reported shooting was an isolated incident, Schroeder says for now officers believe the people in both vehicles knew each other.
What’s still unclear is if anyone was hurt in the shooting.
Schroeder says officers are with one person at a local hospital who has a non-life threatening gunshot wound, but stopped short of confirming whether that person is related to this incident.
