GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay Packers fans can thank the military members and veterans in their lives through Operation Fan Mail.
Every year, the team honors those serving or those who have served by saluting them on the video boards during pregame activities at each home game.
“As we look forward to welcoming fans back in person this season, we are especially excited to again honor members of the military and veterans at Lambeau Field,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “The Operation Fan Mail program allows us the opportunity to recognize the bravery, sacrifice and dedication of those who have served, along with their families, and we are proud to continue the program this year.”
To nominate a person or family, submit an essay of 500 words or less, on why a particular person or family should be saluted.
Essays can be sent to Operation Fan Mail, P.O. Box 10628, Green Bay, WI, 54307-0628 or online.
Families intended for recognition are those that have a member serving on active duty, or a member who is a veteran. The family member can be a spouse, mother, father, son, daughter or sibling.
In addition to being recognized on the video boards prior to the game, selected families will receive four tickets to the game courtesy of WPS Health Solutions and a $150 Packers Pro Shop gift card.
A total of 136 families have been saluted during the past 13 seasons.
