TOWN OF EATON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A prairie that is being restored in Brown County had its grand opening Saturday morning.
The Baird Creek Preservation Foundation is behind the effort.
The area will be known as the Paul Hartman Living Prairie.
“Paul has been doing good things in the Green Bay area for his entire lifetime, fighting invasive species, restoring natural habitats,” said Charles Frisk, the President of the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation. “Paul is a great conservationist, he’s a great philanthropist, just a great leader.”
Hartman was instrumental in starting the preservation foundation and co-founding the Green Bay Botanical Garden.
The prairie and gazebo are in the town of Eaton on County Road JJ.
