GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The wet weather Saturday morning threatened the annual Packers 5K Run-Walk presented by Bellin Health.
But, the 3.1 mile race throughout the neighborhood near Lambeau Field was able to be held.
The run is one of the kickoff events for Packers training camp, which starts this week.
A major draw is the run ends with a lap around the field.
“I saw it on the Packers website and I just signed up, told my brother about it,” said Jerry Wanty, a first-time participant. “Just to run through the tunnel and in around Lambeau would be awesome.”
Very humid conditions also was an obstacle for runners and walkers. Water and Gatorade was available throughout the course.
