ASHWAUBENON, Wis. – The Green Bay Booyah defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders on Sunday afternoon at Herr-Baker Field, 4-1.
The Booyah scored two in the fourth inning after a single by Dalton Pearson (Georgia State) that scored Johnny Hipsman (Richmond) and Elias Flowers (Jacksonville).
Green Bay added another two in the eighth frame when Pearson hit a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Nathan Blasick (West Virginia) and Dayson Croes’ (Quincy) single that drove in Hipsman.
Mykel Page (Southern) pitched a gem for the Booyah. The right-handed pitcher threw seven shutout innings. He walked two and punched out three. His ERA has dropped to 0.81 as he improves to 3-1 on the season.
The Booyah head into the All-Star Break at 8-5 in the second half with a share of second place in the Great Lakes West. They will duel the Battle Creek Bombers at C.O. Brown Stadium on Thursday, July 22. First pitch is scheduled for 5:35 pm CDT.
The Booyah will return to Capital Credit Union Park on Monday, July 26 for a bout against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.
