MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — You can now see which places in Wisconsin have more people vaccinated against COVID-19.
New map data released by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is aimed at helping vaccinators.
“I think what these do is provide our local vaccinators with a lot more granularity about where there are people who may need more vaccines, said Deputy DHS Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk. “It is in our power to avoid future surges and hospitals filled to capacity. Protect yourself your family and friends by getting vaccinated.”
The new maps allow Wisconsinites to view COVID-19 vaccination data by municipalities, zip codes, school districts, and census tracts. More vaccinated areas are colored a deeper shade of purple.
“Our goal, ultimately, is for every census tract to be that dark shade of purple,” said Willems Van Dijk.
The greatest concentration of vaccinated Wisconsinites is in the south-central part of the state, around Madison.

DHS also reported 125 new coronavirus cases for Friday.
