APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Mile of Music organizers have announced their ‘First Fifty’ artists slated to play for Mile 8.
Over the next three weeks, Mile 8 will announce another 75 to 100 acts to round out the lineup for the festival. The event is unique in featuring independent artists who may not be household names, while also being free to music fans.
As one fan put it recently, “It’s the perfect way to find your new favorite band.” The first grouping of artists announced Tuesday consists of 34 acts that will be playing the festival for the first time and 16 returning acts. Artists are coming from all corners of the country with just the first grouping representing 17 states.
