GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay’s Parks Department is hosting an eSports league this summer.
ESports are competitive video gaming competitions. Jeremy Crees with the parks department says they’ve partnered with a Chicago based Company, GG-Leagues, to host the competition.
“We actually started doing this in February or March of this year,” said Crees. “So we’re excited about eSports and bringing that to the Green Bay area.”
Green Bay will host leagues for Madden NFL, Rocket League, Super Smash Brothers, and Fortnite leagues.
There are several leagues based on age range, with leagues available for those age eight and up.
Sign up is available online. The deadline to join is June 28th.
