GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Despite the rain and thunderstorms that moved through Thursday night, fire danger remains high in the northern half the area.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says crews have responded to 106 wildfires statewide this month as dry weather has prolonged the springtime fire danger.
Burning permits will be suspended in some counties, and the DNR recommends checking for the latest updates each day at 11 a.m.
