ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Students at Green Bay area high schools were able to walk across the stage for Sunday’s graduation ceremonies.
They were held at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.
The first school to have its ceremony was West High School at 11 a.m., followed by East and Southwest high schools.
But there were still some limitations because of COVID-19, such as masks being required, and there were no live band or choir performances.
But students were just excited to have it in-person.
“I feel bad for the Class of 2020, but I mean, we’re here,” says Jordan Cruz, a senior at West High School.
“I feel fortunate enough that we were able to have an actual graduation and sort-of normal ending to a messed-up school year,” says Alex Kanutson, also a senior at West High School.
The number guests for each graduate was limited.
Preble High School will have its graduation on Wednesday night at 7 p.m., also at the Resch Center.
