FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man has been convicted following a drug overdose death in Fond du Lac.
Prosecutors say David S. Bresser pleaded no contest to first-degree reckless homicide and manufacturer/delivery of fentanyl. The second charge is related to an incident in Ripon last August.
According to a criminal complaint, Robert Thorp died last April of “methamphetamine toxicity.” His body was found in a Fond du Lac river.
Bresser admitted to selling the drugs to Thorp, but said it was for a small amount, the complaint states.
Bresser faces up to 35 years in prison and 20 years of extended supervision. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 17.
