FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Fond du Lac city council voted Wednesday night to essentially stop the Lakeside Park enhancement project.
Fond du Lac is ending its agreement with “Lakeside Forward.” That’s the group that want to build a restaurant and multipurpose building at the site.
Last week, the city suggested three possible locations to “Lakeside Forward,” but the two groups couldn’t agree on a location.
Fond du Lac city manager Joe Moore tells FOX 11 city staff will reconvene to decide what to do next.
“It’s not as if we’re starting from scratch. We just need to revisit the priorities and the estimates and such to make sure we have those in the right order because we were anticipating the implementation of the alternative master plan.”
This all comes after Fond du Lac’s city council voted to pause the park project until Wednesday, but the city was not able to find a compromise with “Lakeside Forward.”
