FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man has been sentenced to prison for a shooting that left another man partially paralyzed and a teenage girl with a broken bone.
Delaney Watt, 33, was convicted of 14 counts stemming from the 2018 incident in Fond du Lac. Prosecutors said he shot at a group of people walking into an apartment complex on Forest Avenue.
According to the criminal complaint, police arrested Watt through a description of the vehicle he was driving. Surveillance video from the scene showed the shooter wearing the same clothes Watt was wearing when he was arrested.
Watt did not admit to the shooting but did say he had previously been in a fight with the man who was shot over money the victim owed him.
Watt was sentenced to 79 years and five months in prison, followed by 63 years of extended supervision.
