GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — More chances to get a COVID-19 vaccine are popping up across the area.
Vaccine supply is high, and with so many people already having been vaccinated against COVID-19, Prevea CEO Dr. Ashok Rai says we’re entering the next phase of distribution–making it as easy as possible to get vaccinated.
“It’s time to start taking down any barrier there is to get vaccinated,” Rai said Wednesday. “Sometimes scheduling an appointment is a barrier. We want to take that barrier down by offering walk ins.”
Prevea will be holding walk-in vaccine appointments throughout the week at their vaccination site at the Kress Center on the campus of UW-Green Bay, and also at their facilities in Sheboygan and Eau Claire as well, on select dates.
Rai says vaccine demand has dropped in recent weeks, and urged those that have not been vaccinated to get vaccinated.
“Your immunity is really important to yourself when you get vaccinated,” said Rai. “But it’s even more important to the community as a whole because that’s how we move on.”
