MATTESON, WI (WTAQ) – One man is dead and a woman was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle crash in Matteson on Saturday afternoon.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened on County Hwy. C west of Old Country Road CC just before 3:30. p.m.
Witnesses tell sheriff’s deputies they saw a deer run into the road which caused the driver to lose control. Both the driver and passenger flew off the motorcycle.
The driver, a 68-year-old Elkhart Lake man died and his 70-year-old passenger, also from Elkhart Lake, was taken to the hospital for her injuries.
