GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Houston Texans are getting a warm welcome from fans in Titletown.
The team is here for two joint practices with the green and gold during Packers Training Camp.
Railbirds of all ages were up bright and early Monday to watch the first practice between the two teams. Kids even offered up their bikes so Texans could ride to practice in classic Packers Training Camp style.
Texans player and former Wisconsin Badger JJ Watt says he is just as excited as fans to return to his native state and join in on the Packers Training Camp experience.
The public is invited to watch the joint practices, Tuesday’s morning session starts at 10:15 at Ray Nitschke Field.
The two teams will face each other for the first pre-season game of the season at Lambeau Field Thursday night.
This is the first time since 2005 that the Packers have hosted another team for practices during training camp.
