OMRO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Students at UW-Oshkosh are hoping to find the body of a man missing since 1983.
On Monday, students began helping in the search for Starkie Swenson. They will help police at an undisclosed site for the next three weeks.
UWO professor Jordan Karsten tells FOX 11….
“What we are doing is digging a series of test pits today in an area that there is information to suggest his body could’ve been place back in the 1980s, and so we are digging these test pits to see if the layers of the earth the stratigraphy are in tact and haven’t been disturbed.”
John Andrews was convicted of the murder of Swenson in 1994. It’s believed the victim was killed in what has been described as a love triangle in Neenah.
