MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) — A man is dead after somehow falling off his boat and into Lake Michigan over the weekend in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc Police say the 47-year-old Kimberly resident, who has not been named, was seen in distress in the water near the Blue Rail on Maritime Drive at around 7:30 in the morning on Sunday.
He was pulled from the water but pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
The investigation is still ongoing. The man was not wearing a life jacket.
His boat was later found.
