OCONTO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A December 10th trial date was set Friday for a former Oconto Falls teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student.
Brynn Larsen, 30, faces four counts, including a charge of repeated sexually assault of the same child.
Court records show a three-day trial is scheduled.
According to the criminal complaint, Larsen was a substitute teacher and a volleyball coach at Oconto Falls High School. She allegedly engaged in an on-going sexual relationship with a student.
There was an investigation then, but no charges were filed. Earlier this year, the victim came forward to confirm the two indeed had a sexual relationship, and charges were filed.
With the victim’s consent, investigators contacted Larsen through the victim’s Facebook account where Larsen admitted to the sexual relationship.
The complaint says Larsen did not regret the relationship and stated she isn’t a pedophile because she never “went after” the victim or made her do anything she didn’t “want to do.”
