GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Jesse Matzke said he can finally breathe a sigh of relief now that charges have been filed against 18-year -old Kevin Green, a man he accuses of sexually assaulting his 14-year-old daughter.
“The District Attorney is doing everything I was seeking to do and the police were not doing. It’s crazy to me but I’m satisfied,” said Matzke.
Before filing charges against Green late Tuesday police said they had been investigating the accusations since late June, but there was not enough evidence to make an arrest.
That’s what led Matzke to post flyers around the city, warning people about Green and how he’s allegedly preying on young girls in the area.
“It’s crazy and ridiculous! How could you not stand up for these kids. If we don’t do it, no one else is going to,” he said.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged victim told police she met Green back in 2016, but they didn’t start having intercourse until the beginning of 2019.
She also admitted to investigators that he would get upset and hit her often, and on multiple occasions Green would pull her hair and even choke her.
“See I was trying to catch him, but I couldn’t catch him he was too fast,” said Matzke.
During an interview with police back in July Green admitted to having sex with Matzke’s daughter multiple times, but said the last time was in March of 2019 when he was 17-years-old.
However, Matzke said that doesn’t justify what happened to his 14-year-old daughter and is thankful that justice is finally being served.
