MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – A man who was fatally shot in Kaukauna last week has been identified as 34-year-old Eduard Alexis Lopez-Ucles.
The Department of Criminal Investigation says Officer Sam Pynenberg of the Fox Valley Metro Police Department was the one who shot him and has been placed on paid administrative leave.
Officials say Lopez-Ucles was shot during an arrest attempt and died at a hospital.
When the investigation is finished, it will be turned over to the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office, which will decide whether any criminal charges will be filed.
