MADISON, WI (WRN) — Justice Annette Ziegler has been selected as Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
The 57-year-old Ziegler will assume the duties on May 1. She was first elected to the court in 2007 and was unopposed in 2017.
She said in a statement her focus will include helping circuit courts operate safely and efficiently amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to WisPolitics, Ziegler was nominated by outgoing Chief Justice Pat Rogensack, who was first elected in 2003 and is not expected to seek reelection in two years.
