TOWN OF GRANT, WI (WTAQ) – Shawano County Sheriff’s Department says initial indication is that was a gas that led to Monday’s explosion at a residence in Western Shawano County.
Sheriff Officials say the owner of the building, 62-year-old Steve Verg was one of the four people injured in the blast.
The names of the other three have not been released, but officials say they are all men.
The explosion happened Monday afternoon and was heard from as far as a mile away.
Three of the men suffered severe burns.
“These things take time and it could be weeks or months before we get the answers,” said Shawano County Detective Gordon Kowaleski.
The investigation is still ongoing.
