SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ) – An Elkhart Lake man says a shooting Monday in Sheboygan was self-defense.
Sheboygan Police say it all started with a disturbance call Monday evening.
“We were met a 22-year-old man who approached officers and told them that there was a man who was injured inside a car in a parking lot.
Lt. Doug Teunissen says a 57-year-old Manitowoc man was shot inside his vehicle after a struggle with the 22-year-old. It was discovered that the 22-year-old was driving the man when the Manitowoc man pulled a handgun while fighting over money.
“The 22-year-old then drew his own firearm, fired two shots and killed the other man.”
He says for now they are talking to witnesses and the 22-year-old man is cooperating with police.Lt. Doug Teunissen says there is still a lot to figure out.”We are talking to witnesses, reviewing any video we can get and bringing that all together.”He says for now the 22-year-old man is cooperating with police.
