GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Metro Fire Department says a garage fire has caused $60,000 in damage to a duplex and sent one person to the hospital Thursday night.
Battalion Chief Mike VandenAvond says the fire happened just after 6:15 in the 1300 block of Nelson St.
One person who tried putting out the fire was taken to the hospital with burns. There’s no word on their condition.
Another person was treated and released at the scene.
VandenAvond also says the duplex received damage in both garages, homes, and attics.
Firefighters were on scene for two hours.
The incident is still being investigated.
