GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – For those not looking forward to the cold of winter, they may be happy to know it may cost them less to stay warm.
Wisconsin Public Service customers may be paying nearly $23 dollars less in costs this year than last year.
The utility company says that is if the heating forecast stays consistent with the 20-year average, and the price of natural gas remains steady.
The forecast for heating bills is coming in about 4% less this year.
Customers are still be reminded to take the necessary steps to help keep their heating costs down by turning the thermostat back 7-10 degrees when you are asleep or away from home, sealing gaps around windows, doors and siding and scheduling a furnace tune-up.
