BRILLION, WI (WTAQ) – While Wisconsin residents may not be quite ready for winter, Ariens Company is making sure people have what they need to battle the incoming snow.
Stephen Ariens, Senior Brand Marketing Manager says their production plans are based on other factors besides weather forecasting.
“It is based on our sales forecast and on what retailers are demanding.”
Ariens says when people hear snowy winter, sales tend to increase.
“A lot of eyeballs of people that flock to our sites and stores and our dealers when these forecasts increase.”
That means it’s an opportunity for people to purchase some of the new products off of their line that may be suitable for Wisconsin winters.
“We have a model with a dig in mode on there where you can actually dig into the snow piles and it can really dig into that heavy, wet snow that is more of an ice buildup at the end of your driveway.”
Another newer product is for those who may have trouble starting a snowblower.
“It eliminates that carburetor and it is a one pull-start, there is no choke to it.”
While it does not impact what they take off the line, a forecast like the 2019-2020 prediction means plenty to smile about.
“There are a lot of smiles that you will see around the building when snow is in the forecast. Any of this early weather for us is always a good trigger for us that early sales will be coming and people will be going out and buying their snowblowers early.”
He says if you have not considered your snow removal plans for this winter, now is the time to start.
