GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Encompass is asking for the public’s help in providing childcare and early childhood education for years to come.
It kicked off the public part of its $5 million fundraising campaign. The money will help build its endowment fund.
In turn, Encompass says it will be able to provide additional training for staff. It will also be able to make childcare more affordable for families of all financial backgrounds.
“Childcare is extremely expensive, but yet it’s so important so that families can comfortably go to work every day and know that their children are well cared for and really learning,” executive director Sue Vincent said.
Encompass provides care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. It has seven locations in Brown County and serves more than 1,300 children a year.
