FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ) – Reports of a suicidal person led to two officers shooting that person along the 900 block of Clover Street in Fox Crossing Thursday morning.
The state Division of Criminal Investigation reports one officer from the Fox Crossing Police Department and a Neenah Police officer had an encounter with the person before opening fire.
Life-saving measures were taken, but the individual later died at a hospital.
A gun was found at the scene.
The incident is being investigated by DCI, and results will be given to the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office for a decision on whether criminal charges will be filed.
