FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A group of Girl Scouts spent their Saturday learning about the stars.
The troop got an inside look at Barlow Planetarium at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Fox Cities Campus.
Scouts got to spend the day doing crafts and interacting with exhibits.
The event was an effort to get girls involved in STEM programs. STEM stands for Science, Technologies, Engineering, and Math.
Girl Scout Zanthe Foster tells FOX 11 what her favorite part of the day was.
“The black hole because it felt like we were actually doing it in real life it was really fun but some parts you could close your eyes because it’s kind of scary and make you feel like uhhh.”
After the scouts learned all they could they got a STEM badge.
