GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A major business is making sure students have the right school supplies to succeed.
Georgia-Pacific joined the Kids in Need Foundation to distribute school supplies and backpacks to students at Howe Elementary School in Green Bay.
Public affairs manager for Georgia-Pacific, Mike Kawleski, tells FOX 11 this is just one more way they can help the community.
“The reactions from students that get these are just priceless. They’re very, very grateful, excited and we hope it spurs them to maybe study a little harder, have a great attitude about school because they have something to call their own.”
In addition, as part of Georgia-Pacific’s 100th anniversary of its Broadway Mill, the company is also donating paper products, including paper towels.
