GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Green Bay Police have confirmed a shooting at the 600 block of S. Baird St. occurred around 1:20 p.m. They said two possible suspects ran away on foot heading west. GBPD Says there is no current threat to the public.
Police say they have a female of interest in custody. They are currently working to identify this individual’s level of involvement.
GBPD also received information a person showed up at Aurora Hospital with non life threatening gun shot wounds. They are speaking with the individual to identify if they were involved with this specific situation.
Commander Kevin Warych says it is likely the suspects know each other and it was not a random act. The motive is unknown.
Area schools and hospitals were notified to go on lockdown by police. Police also contacted local businesses.
Sergeant Tom Denney told FOX 11 that officers did have the K-9 unit out to help track the two possible suspects.
Drivers are no longer asked to avoid the area.
