OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — For the first time in over a year, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will honor its recent graduates with in-person commencement ceremonies.
In an email sent to students Friday, UW-Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt says the university will hold four ceremonies May 15 at Kolf Sports Center.
Ceremonies will be held based on colleges and degrees. The schedule is as follows:
- 8 a.m.: All doctoral, associate of arts and science, bachelor of applied studies and bachelor of liberal studies degree candidates
- 11 a.m.: College of business undergraduate and master’s degree candidates and college of letters and science undergraduate candidates receiving bachelor of arts, fine arts, music and social work degrees
- 2 p.m.: College of letters and science master’s degree candidates and bachelor of science undergraduate candidates
- 5 p.m.: College of nursing undergraduate and master’s degree candidates and college of education and human services undergraduate and master’s degree candidates
Spring 2020 and winter 2021 graduates are invited to participate. Each graduate who chooses to attend will be able to request two tickets, with one or more provided if they become available. Attendance will be limited to those with tickets, according to the email.
Measures will be in place for a safe environment. Masks will be required, and the fieldhouse will be arranged for social distancing.
