GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — There may be some snow on the way this Thanksgiving week but at least we have the warm embrace of low regional gas prices.
“East Wisconsin tends to have some fairly low prices,” GasBuddy.com Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan told WTAQ. “Oshkosh, Green Bay, Appleton, Milwaukee, Madison…all very similar.”
The average Green Bay driver is filling up at about $2.29 this week, some stations in town have prices as low as $2.18. Prices drop as you head further south on I-41 or I-43, but watch out for Wisconsin’s high tax neighbor…
“Don’t go too much further beyond Kenosha,” DeHaan warned. “Once you cross into Illinois prices get much higher [to] an average of $2.65”
55.3 million Americans are expected to hit the road this Thanksgiving week.
